Tatia (she/her) has committed her life to the study, enjoyment, and protection of natural resources. She completed an undergraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a master’s thesis studying pollinator restoration ecology, with various outdoor careers in between. She led back-country trail crews, guided sea kayak expeditions, surveyed for endangered owls, marked trees for forestry operations, and most recently she completed resource inventories and wrote management plans for conserved public lands. Tatia then turned to Maine with its magical coastline, forests, and bogs, endless outdoor opportunities, and communities of people working hard to conserve wild places.

Tatia has been with MCHT since 2022.

On land conservation: “I feel most like my authentic self when I’m outside, so I’m grateful to have a career that allows me to work outdoors in the pursuit of land conservation and public access. Everyone deserves the opportunity to develop a strong sense of place with the natural world.”

On the job: With many mainland preserves stretching from Brooksville to Gouldsboro, and several islands in Penobscot and Frenchman Bay, Tatia manages these properties for the people and wildlife that enjoy them. She’ll be the one crouching over a flowering plant or straining her neck to track the bird flying overhead.
