You did it! Over the past six years, more than 7,500 people stepped up to be a part of the largest coastal conservation campaign in Maine’s history, and raised more than $130 million to keep the coast open, healthy, working, and beautiful.

Here’s the impact you had on the Maine coast through this Campaign
You saved places people love
As places to the south heat up, and Maine becomes increasingly attractive to more people—especially to baby boomers, retiring at a rate of 10,000 per day—you helped protect and hold on to the places and experiences that make Maine, Maine.

You created more public access to the coast
With limited guaranteed public access to the coast, you created incredible public preserves, saved important access points for everyone from clammers to kayakers, and added more trails and campsites up and down the coast.

You made coastal Maine more resilient to climate change
Protecting Maine’s salt marshes and large blocks of undeveloped habitat is key to mitigating the negative impacts of climate change, and making Maine’s human and natural communities more resilient over the long haul.

Every gift to this Campaign made a lasting difference for the coast.
Thank you for being a part of this historic effort, and for continuing to support MCHT’s mission to keep the coast Maine.
