
Calf Unveiling Day
at Aldermere Farm in Rockport

On May 6, Aldermere Farm will open its doors and barnyard to the public to introduce the newest members of Aldermere’s Belted Galloway herd.
From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., MCHT staff and volunteers will give behind-the-scenes tours of the barnyard at 20 Russell Ave in Rockport. Visitors will meet the thirteen Belted Galloway calves born this spring as well as the MCHT staff, 4-H members and volunteers who care for the herd.
MCHT staff will share information about the educational youth agriculture programs offered at Aldermere Farm and MCHT’s nearby Erickson Fields Preserve, located at 164 West Street in Rockport.
Attractions will include:
- Barnyard Tours
- Demonstrations by the Aldermere Achievers 4-H Club with their show cattle
- Live acoustic music performed by The Rusty Hinges
- Grilled Aldermere burgers
- Stone Fox Farm Creamery’s homemade ice cream
- The Uproot Pie Company’s woodfire pizza
