Are you interested in growing your own mushrooms? Come and join us for a mushroom log inoculation workshop at Woodward Point Preserve in Brunswick! This program, led by Louis Giller of NorthSpore, will start off by walking participants through the fascinating biology and importance of mushrooms. He will then lead us through a mushroom log inoculation workshop so that participants can try their hand at growing mushrooms of their own.

What to Know:

Registration required and is $20.00 a person.

All materials will be provided, and all participants will leave with their own mushroom log.

Power tools will be used so this class might not be suitable for children under 12.

About Louis Giller:

Louis Giller has spent about 12 years growing, foraging, and most importantly eating mushrooms. His mycological journey began at the University of Denver where he studied environmental science and conducted oyster mushroom research inspired by Mycologist Paul Stamets. He joined North Spore over 5 years ago where he primarily works on customer service, education, and community outreach.
