Planned Giving

Make the Maine coast part of your legacy through a planned gift to MCHT.

Planned gifts are deferred contributions made through your will or estate plan, a beneficiary designation, or life income gift. Planned giving can help you achieve your philanthropic and financial goals as you establish a legacy of giving back to the coast you love.

There are many planned giving options to explore, including:

A Bequest Gift

A bequest is the most common way to make a planned gift. You can donate a specific amount or a percentage of your estate, or make a donation of land or personal property to MCHT. Learn more about making a bequest gift.

Make MCHT a Beneficiary

You can make MCHT the beneficiary of an insurance policy and/or retirement fund. Learn more about making MCHT a beneficiary.

Life Income Gift

Through annuities and trusts you can receive payments for life—while creating a legacy that will reverberate in MCHT’s work to protect the Maine coast for generations to come. Learn more about life income gift options.

If you’ve already included MCHT in your will or estate plan, we are truly grateful.  We would love to hear from you to thank you and to make sure your gift is utilized as you wish.

David Warren, MCHT’s Planned Giving & Major Gifts Officer, looks forward to hearing from you if you any questions about planned giving or if you have already established a planned gift for MCHT.

Send David an email or give him a call at 207-607-4365.
